Sami my friend, the first section of the tune is so close to a sketch of a tune I'm working on it's scary (working title Saddam Ozzie). So of course I love it!:D I totally dig the fifth harmonies.

very haunting sound.....i play the tables with my fingers and it doesnt sound that good....  :D :D :p :p

that vocal line from 1:33 to 1:38 really stands out....i really like what your voice does there.....

this is a damn fine production...i think around here, i think you are one of the best at putting together productions (musically, vocally, dynamically, etc) that stand out and grab your attention and make you wanna listen again.....

awesome job.....

Killer stuff man...what kind of effects do you have on the vox? I kept waiting for some mean ass guitar ride to come in. Enjoyed it!!

well, SHIT!! sab, there's nothing to rip!! crisp and clean, everything sounds just right!! the song itself?? i dont know... fuck! its all preference bullshit, i need to shut the fuck up, now. oneday i'll be helpfull.

Sweet... mideastern.... wind blowing in the intro... (my next tune has wind in the outro)

This mix seems cleaner than your other stuff to date, sam.... "And you know just what it does..." wow... DIG that melody right there. Excellent dynamic. This manages to stretch your musical palette some, but retain your signature sound. Guys like W.I.S.C. might not like it, but it's really good. The melody kicks ass. I'll check the mix at a later time... you just crank out these ideas like they're nothing... you're amazing, my friend :D

Really interesting stuff, man. Like the harmonies & structure, it's like there are several different movements in the tune - noticed that about the last tune also. It's kind of cool that the listener isn't sure of what's coming next.

Good job.

Somehow sounds very fresh and yet so you :D What are those liquidy thingies occasionally coming out of the right side mostly?
I love that snare sound, by the way. There's some vocal stuff here. Lots. The low-vocal part before 2:00 could be a tad quieter, since there are already few other vocals there.

I like the drum sound on this. Really fitting. The nag this time is about the synths all being so centered on the main theme parts. The piano stuff is great at the end. Much better sounding than my piano sound ever was. The song is just simply good and I don't know why you didn't feel like it deserved any more bitrates... Your vocals are becoming clearer in the mix, despite you using some bandpass on them occasionally. But the important thing is you don't overdo it. Good job.

B.SABBATH:

I like the Eastern theme contrasted with the dark vocals..it's like a chant!

...only (small) thing was the snare seemed a little loud at about 1:25...what do I know?

Great tune and mix.

sabb...you've set the bar so high with your rapid fire music machine, and the fine quality of the stuff you put out. I'm not going to whine, complain, offer suggestions...all the bull crap. The only thing I am going to complain about at this point (besides not being in a band with me), is that you don't have some kind of record deal, label whatever...or mondo self promotion scheme going. Your talant far exceeds sooo much of the stuff I hear, and your recording chops are just fine on the equipment you have. You don't need some friggin big boy studio. It sounds fine now. I suppose the mastering "do-dahs" need doing, but you're there. You're creative, talanted, every tune is a joy to hear, that I soooo much prefer listening to whatever you put out (as new) to anyone else I can think of...pro or not. Additionally, I suppose it would be interesting to hear your stuff in a million dollar studio with some golden ears twiddling the knobs, but I think you have a formula that your brain is connected to the knobs themselves...and any other person between your brain and the final mix would probably just be in the way of the "transformation" from thought to CD. SERIOUSLY, if you want to have your music do "more" (whatever that means), you need to find a TRUSTWORTHY manager..whatever ..and allow the rest of the world to have the opportunity to hear your stuff. I couldn't be more serious. You are head and shoulders above the rest on the home recording dig. You should let your music support you for awhile now. Your songs prove it.
DAMN FINE JOB

oh yeah...one last thought I left out... you're an original.

plus...I REALLY like the new avatar. Have seen it now for a couple of days, and I like the fact that you don't need to put up some 'rock star' for your avatar. You're just as original as ozzie, and personally, think your stuff sounds quite a bit different. I see parallels to other artists first, actually, before Black Sabbath and Ozzie. King Crimson comes to mind first, but I think they might have been a bit before your time, and nowadays would sound quite a bit dated in many aspects.

kick 'em in the ass, dude!!

Let's light the bonfire and get naked....

Sick man! I can only listen on the cans at the moment and I'll give this another listen tommorrow....

...but fantastic work!

btw, I'm moving into the new place tomorrow, shortly thereafter we should get to work on something...

I'll give more comments after I hear with monitors.

Great Stuff Sam.

nice work..........the verses have a very alice in chains type harmony........how do you plan out your harmonies? do you write them or just kind of sing over what you have till it works? your harmonies are always great...........great song

Hey Sam, . ........The chromatic kid

.......Great stuff man, . I get the middle eastern vibe from this too. I like the way you integrate natural sounds into your stuff (the wind in this, the water drops in another song you posted), it's a nice touch in such a dark style of writing.... it adds mood and dynamics......very nice. I really like the vocs in this one, strong delivery.... nice work man. Great song bro!

Ok Brutha' Black-Sabb, I'm gettin' my self ready by goin to my fridge and fetchin' an ice-cold brewski!!! BRB!! ..............

You b@stard!!! D@mn your sh#t exudes professional quality performance,tracking & mixing!!! Clean & Clear in-yo'-face production!
Felt I was some where in the Middle Beast surrounded by a bevy of beautiful ,thong-wearing belly dancers. Your voc perf and capture is, IMHO,mind-boggling!!! (That's is one of my several weak points; voc-rec'ding).

Questions: What mic and pre are you using?
Do you rec'd voc's flat or do you do any eq'ing during tracking?
Last question.... How the f#ck do you always capture precise vocs
on your jammies!!??

5-stars baby!!

Damn...................................................
this is good................

I gotta get better at this stuff......................

pretty cool man......very original ...........

you should be touring................or something..................ya know?

good sound man,
Later,
Joe

This is some great work. Very creative and well done. The crossstick on the side of the snare sound? from 2:40 was a bit to up front. The ending was a little abrupt but Im sure it was a quick trim. The low freq keys could come up in the begining a bit more IMO... Other than that Im humbled by your work. The mix sounds good and the song is a great piece of artwork. Very well done. I also like the song.....

well damn, I'm really starting to figure out that I don't need to learn and improve on my recording skills. I don't have the music talent to need to record.

This is great, as is all B's stuff. Most of it isn't my realm of music, but I think my ears can tell when there's a talent that's ready for anything. B, your're very good, and I hope you remember me, us, when your break comes.

This goes for all you guys and gals. The folks who continually put up very fine music here, song after song. I really love to listen to the tunes here, even if I don't comment about every tune. And besides, it saves on buying cds. he he he he he
