Low-Z Mic .. Need help asap!

Hello,

As you see, I have a cable and a low-z mic. I wish to get my signal "hotter". What are my options ? Thanks a lot for you prompt response

.. I mean, I'm getting a weak signal even with my mixer's "mic volume" (pre-amp) turned all the way up!

If you have XLR- in on your mixer you should try that and .. well.. what the hell am I saying.. either your mic is just not cutting it or your mixer just ain't hot enough.. maybe it's an Impedence issue if the mic is some insanee;y hish impedence... post the mic model name/ #.... you might need a XLR transformer.. but personally I dont't like the sound of a transformet.. (I have the Audio Technica XLR- 1/4" transformers/adaptors)

You've got a low-impedance mic and a cord for a high impedance mic.You need an XLR-to-XLR mic cord,the standard for low impedance mics.
If your mixer only has 1/4 inch inputs,you also need a low-to-high impedance transformer,female XLR-to-male 1/4 inch.Aka "Low-Z To High-Z Mic Transformer." This goes on the end of the mic cord,into the mixer.This should get you more signal.
