real sweet man! that's the best vocal sound i have ever heard (coming out of a 57) nice.

was everything recorded at once with 1 mic or 2? the vocals sound nice, but the guitar and some other sounds(?) sound like they weren't closely miced..

One part at a time. 3 vocal parts, two guitar, crappy tamborine and a piece of wood that I struck with a drum stick :). I was just fooling around but it ended up sounding much better than I thought it would. Used a cheapo PG57 mic with the shield removed when I recorded the guitar. The guitar is a 75 dollar jobbie that my wife bought me a couple of years ago. Maybe one day I'll try and remix it... I mainly did it for the vocals.

Thanks

You sure did a great job on it then :) If you decide to re-track them, i would try to get as little room sound as you can (close micing, blanket over your head, etc), unless you dig your room sound.

hmmm....

....sounds suspiciously like one of jeap's... but he would obsess over that hiss right at the end of the track, for example... so you can't be jeap ;)

Voice is very similar... and the high, percussive arrangement is like his too... Good stuff... would be a good passage in a full arrangement of a song e.g. a breakdown from something w/bass & full drums, for example as an outro... or just a break.

(what the hell am I talking about :o)

Anyway... t'sgood
