Live room Mic set up

Ok guys newb here please don't slay me.

So far my Son and I have only recorded acoustic and vocals in my treated control room. Every one has been very pleased with the way they have sounded.

Now we have a young band of a bunch of great guys that really have no money for a demo, so I have agreed to do it for them very cheap as it will be great practice for my Son and I.

There will be a very heavy hitting drummer wrapped inside of a plexi gobo, One lead electric and rythm and bass. They are going to record 3 songs 2 covers(Cross Canadian Rag Weed) and one original. The singer is excellent with good to great mic technique.

The large live room is semi treated and has in the past recorded well but is untested at this volume level.

I have at my disposal mic wise 1 KSM27,1 Shure 87Beta, 3 SM57's,3 SM 58's, 2 MXL 901 and 2 MXL 903's and 1 Sennheiser 853

Your opinion of what mic where would be greatly appreciated?

My appoligies if I am in the wrong forum for this, or if this is not enough info.

This will all be run through my Mackie 1620 Onyx, into Cubase sx3

if your worried about bleed personally i would record the drums seperately and then maybe the guitarist and singers at the same time instead of using a plexiglass drumshield, seems like there would be alot of wierd reflections off of it when recording, and plus you can use mics the same mics over again for different instruments. it kinda depends on the soudn you want but a good starting point might be 2 903s as drum overheads the 3 57s and if needed a 58 on snare and toms(if you want to mic the toms it wont hurt but you might not use the tracks) the 901 under the snare, the ksm a few feet infront of the kick(use a chair and a blanket to make a sort of tunnel for the mic to the kick) and if he has a hole in his kick drum stick one of the extra dynamics you have in the kick to pick up the batter head. as for guitars 57s on the cabs and if you want a room mike i problably would use the ksm. run bass di or use either the ksm or 903 on a cab depending apon the sound you want. and finally the ksm on vocal. this is just a general idea depending upon the way their instruments sound and how they want the recording to sound you might have to change the mics
