Left-hand mono to dual mono?

I've got my mono aux feed going into my Samson S-amp stereo headphone splitter box. As the S-amp is only getting signal on the left-hand side, obviously the headphones are only getting left-hand signal.

I'm using the 'pull the jack out half way' method to hack a dual-mono signal from it. (Hey, it works ;) )

Anyone else do this, or got a better method? I can't find a convertor/adaptor plug that does this.

A Y-cable would be ideal...

They actually made a freaking headphone amp that can't handle a mono input???

Hmmm, no, I've got a Y-cable that converts 2 mono to stereo.

I need something that converts one mono quarter inch jack to one stereo quarter inch jack - duplicating the left mono signal over to the right.

Actually, you need a jack that goes from 1 mono and splits it up into to 2 monos.

Exactly - A Y-cable. Not an insert cable - A simple splitter.
