just got me some 603s!

they came in the mail today! i really love them! thay kill on overheads and i tryed them on acousic guitar and i can't seem to get a good sound. the bass keeps rumbuling. so i cut about 6 db of lows and they don't rumble as much but they still do. i know that this is not the mic, but mabye the placement of eq?

any ideas?

I like "spaced pair, version B" (see Gidge's link above) or the XY at the 12th. Seems to minimize a lot of the rumble. But keep in mind that you're going to have to do some bass-cutting with just about any mic you use.

how much is too much? i'm recording on a vf-16 recorder so i only have parimitric eq so, can you put it in para talk?
