It followed me home. Can I keep it?

New toy. I was brousing at a local music store and it was like, LOVE at first sight. I picked up a 25th anniversary Taylor, XXL-GA. It's number 345 out of a run of 500. Hand signed by Mr. Taylor. My God, what a piece of art. I never thought I'd be as enamoured with a guitar as I was with my D-41. Move over Marty.:D

I assume it's a GA- grand auditorium ?

Welcome to the Taylor Club. Now everytime you read someone say, "and it's better than a Taylor or a Martin" you can just smile and laugh at the stupid son-of-a-bitch. :D

Definately I have to get some pictures of this thing up. The neck inlay has to be seen to be appriciated. I must have played 15 guitars today before I picked it out. I tried not to be swayed by the inlay and just listened to guitars. I'm in love.:D

Oh sure, I get a new Ibanez acoustic, and you have to try to out do me.

Happy for ya Track. I'll get out the jaws of life, to pry the guitar off of you, in a couple of weeks!

Have fun with it!

taylors are real fine guitars...every one i've played were awsome. Martin makes some fine guitars also....but i played a d-45 a while back (at a bluegrass festival). i was anxious to try it out as d-45's are supposed to be "it". i was very dissapointed...it had a dull "average 200 buck acoustic" tone and didn't play worth a shit.
just goes to show that you can drop big money on a guitar and still get a dud.

Guitars have distinct personalities for sure. I love my D-41. Great playing guitar with perfect (well, you know) intonation and definately impressive to look at. It's a bitch to record though.
Of the group Taylors I played, even amoung the guitars with the same body style, it was amazing how big a difference there was in sound between instruments.

that's great Track. I know what you mean about THE guitar. I went out for a couple of successive weekends down in Nashville looking for THE guitar. I had about $1200 I was willing to let loose, but for some reason, they all kinda sucked when I tried them. I know that isn't the case, because about a half a year ago...when I DIDN'T have the $$ to blow...they all sounded pretty good. Wait....there seems to be a clue in here...
