The main mix meter is moving where? On your mixer? Or in Cubase?

Ahh. Haven't used Cubase in a while but I'll try.

What are your connections? The main outs into the soundcard? Using what?

Also, is Cubase synced up to your soundcard? What driver are you using?

my vst conections inputs are : asio directX full duplex driver , device port : c-media pci audio 1
c-media pci audio 2
outputs are same as inputs , i conected my mixer to soundcard via cable
3.5mm Aux Auxiliary Cable Adapter 2 RCA Female MP3

Everything seems to check out with your connections.

That driver is OKAY. I would go and download ASIO4ALL. It doesn't seem to be your problem, but it's just a more stable driver.

Umm.... are the tracks armed properly? That's the big one. I think you need to hit that "e" icon on the track.

The screen should look like this.

Where you see it says Stereo In, that's where you should have the proper "in" set. Make sure that's right.

That last picture looks kind of funny. What kind of track do you have?

When you create a track, what do you do? It should be something like File (or Track, idk it's been a while) -> Create new audio track.

Something of the sort. It looks like you didn't even have a record function when you had the track settings screen up.

Where the heck did you even find the 'e' screen for an input channel? Weird....

Anyway, yes, create an audio track Project>Add Track>Audio>select Mono>Add Track. From the newly created track, make sure the in bus is selected via the Inspector window at right of the project screen. Arm the track by highlighting the icon that looks like a target (it turns red). Also make sure that the icon next to it is highlighted (looks like a side angle shot of a speaker). After recording, make sure to click this off, as you will not hear playback if it is lit.

If this does not work, then come on back and we will do an old school posse to flush your problem out of town! lol!

:D

Man, I so want to drag those top screens out of the way. I caught myself trying! lmao!

Get outta here Jimmy! This is mine!

Just kidding :D

:laughings:

I'm out then....

'There is only room in this town for one of us' (says 'X' to 'O' on Sesame Street). Or was that Electric Company? I'm so old, I can't remember the good stuff... I do remember Spiderman and the Yetti though! lol! Gonna have to do a cover now.

"Spider man, where are you comin from, Spider man, nobody knows who you are...."

I just threw myself under the old guy bus huh? ...... sigh.....

Yeah you did. Lol I have no idea what you are talking about. :laughings:

Although I am quite young. Some may even call me a kid here... :(

I'm sure Moresound knows exactly what I am talking about. Of course, we are both old, long haired skinny hippies. We all hang out together at bongathons and peace rally's. lol!

Oh yeah, and hug trees and stuff.

I have a tie-dye shirt I can bring along. Maybe I can grow out my beard.

We can have a smoke & toke and talk about whether or not we really exist.

Eww, facial hair? Man, not that kind of hippie. The 'sexy and I know it' kind! lol!

I cant help you anymore. Crow placed dibs on you....

lol!

That is a sure sign that you either have not selected the correct driver within Cubase, or your VST Connections are messed up, or you have not selected the right input on the channel you are recording to. I have a few minutes, gonna look into your gear. Hold on...
