I need a dirty women...

...I mean a dirty condenser mic.I have a dirty,soulful,Greg Allman style voice and want to find a dirty sounding condenser to make dirty sounding vocal tracks.OOOH BABY I LIKE IT RAW.What should I be looking for?Nothing clear and transparent.I want raw,dirty tube coloration.What do I need fellow gearheads?

An SM57 and the cheap toob preamp of your choice. Maybe even run it through a guitar amp for a little extra dirt.

just use what ever mic that you have now and boost alot of of db around 1.00khz and 4:00khz.

I'd look at dynamic mics. As mentioned, an SM-57, or a SM-7, or even a Green Bullet. A notoriously nasty mic favored by harmonica players for the way it breaks up.

Ray Charles has frequently used an EV RE-20, which I have used a few times. It would be a good mic to try.
