Newbie here. I bought Sony Portable MiniDisc Recorder MZ-N707 NetMD Walkman with every cable imaginable and OpenMG Jukebox software FOR PC ONLY!

Checked out sony website and internet searched. I am not alone. All I managed to find were complaints saying help, couldn't figure it out, or, tried VirtualPC and it didn't work.

How in the heck do I upload from the minidisc recorder to my Mac G3? I've got the provided USB cable, but don't know how or what software I could get to move it.

I want to tape (minidisc!) my kid and burn a CD. (I've got decent CD burners for my Mac already).

If this can't be done, how do I work around it? Is there a MiniDisc player that would feed into my G3 Mac (USB and Firewire)?

Thanks for help.

My understanding of NetMD is that it is only a one way process i.e. you can copy via USB mp3 files from your computer to your MD which converts to ATRAC format but you can't copy from MD to PC (or MAC)

Anyhow even if you can upload from your MD you still have the problem you described. One option is to use a standard analog lead and play the MD through your sound card and simply record using iTunes or whatever is on your Mac. or you could use CoolEdit or SoundForge (not sure if they have Mac versions!)
