Hi. I'm beginning to put together my first home studio in the spare bedroom of my house. Due to very limited work space, the best place for me to setup my recording console and monitors is against a wall that has a window right in the center of it. My monitors will be just to the sides of the window, that way the window is not directly behind the monitors (which if I've read correctly will likely produce a great deal of unwanted reflections), and the monitors will not be completely in the corners of the room (which again if I've read correctly will add extra unwanted bottom end to the overall acoustics of the room. The wall that I am referring to is 10 feet across. I have two overall questions about this...
1) What is the best thing I can do as far as covering the window and trying to prevent reflections????
2) For some type of bass traps in the two corners near the monitors, (which will be at ear hieght when sitting), how high up or down on the wall should the traps be and what is the best fairly inexpensive way to do that?
