make sure you check the descriptions and feed back. Make sure you are not purchasing a pirated copy. I have seen where people sell info on how to obtain a pirated copy and they dont actually send you anything, just an email on how to get it yourself. Contact the seller to be sure this is not the case...make sure they have an actual factory version. If this is the case, then i dont think $100 is a bad price. The newest version is $249 i think...so u make the call.

Make sure you get the correct reg.exe file with it, too. Syntrillium used different enabling keys for different versions and if you don't get it you'll be out of luck. I seem to remember that Syntrillium emailed me the file so it's probably not on the CD.

You can get a unopened copy of Adobe Audition 1.0 for around $100.00 on E-bay. If you want to upgrade to 1.5 you can download from Adobe's website for $69.00 So you can get the newest most updated software package for $131.00 off the regular sticker price.

As others have stated with ebay check the seller's rating (anyone with less then 98% don't do business with) and make sure it says "unopened" and "unregistered."

For some reason since Adobe started making Audition 1.5 people are trying to unload 1.0 like it was christmas candy. So I think it's a great buy at $100.00 and you don't have to download 1.5 unless you really need the auto tune and CD burning features. 1.0 has all the plug ins and same track number.

dont meant to jack the thread but i have heard a couple of people mention the auto tune plugin in AA 1.5....i cant seem to find it though...

It isn't called autotune. Try pitch correction. (I'm doing this from memory.)

Yep it's under edit view -->EFFECTS-->TIME/PITCH-->PITCH CORRECTION

The Autotune plugin serves a similar purpose but is by a company called Antares.

I got curious and checked myself last night... most of them were "my backup copy from my laptop" -- being sold four or five times by the same guy, riiiight -- but a few seemed legit. The legit ones = expensive, though.

I just dont see how people get away with that....can anything be done about it???

Yeah: don't buy it.

(grin)

Yes, the simplest solution is always the most elegant.

Or just give them a bad review and descibe in detail what the seller sent to you. ebay doesn't like the heat and most sellers avoid bad ratings like the Olsen Twins avoid the buffet.
