How Do I Get This Vocal Sound???

I would like to get the Blink 182 Enema of the State sound of vocals....you know, where they sound thick and doubled...etc? How do I do this? I tried putting a chorus on the vocals and that made it sound ok, but not poppy and thick enough.....should I just record another track or two or what??? Please help....I get back in the studio in four days!!!

If you want doubled sound, the best to get it is to actually dub them! A little chorus can do it to, but why not just double, and then put the dub a little lower in the mix. What I do is straight up one track verses, a dub in the chorus and bridge, and sometimes for really thick sound two dubs, lowered a little each panned about 40 percent left and right. A good reverb can also give you a fatter vocal sound, but you dont wanna drown out the vocals or you lose all the power.
