So, how's the mix on this one? I did something to my kik, so I'm wondering if I over-did it and now have too much low end or if it's just right.

Thanx man. Comparing it to all my other stuff, the low end is definitely bigger on this one. So, either it's too much on this tune, or it's been lacking on the others.

I think the low end is a little woofy. I never found your low end lacking before that I can remember. But then again I'm not a huge rumbling low end kind of guy. I prefer a modest and clear ass end of a mix. The rest of the mix sounds good to me. Guitars, snare, vocals, overheads, all very good.

I hear a good mix, pro sound from my limited knowledge. Anything mentioned here is pure taste.

OK thanx man. Sort of confirms what I thought. I can clean it up a bit. What I did was add a MaxxBass plug-in to my kik. I might have went a little trigger happy with it. I can easily tame it.

Thanx a lot DM. That could be it, too. Maybe the slight lack of mids is what's giving me the impression that the low's are a little over-powering. I'm first going to try tame the low end a bit and see if that helps.

Yes and no with the interface. I still have to re-start my computer every couple of hours. But the good news is that it only screws up when I'm on the internet watching Youtube videos, etc.....

I'm able to record for hours without a problem, so until I get a new interface, this isn't a huge problem. The only reason I know the interface is the problem is because, when I have to re-start the computer or when the computer decides to re-start itself, it gives me a message something like "Driver not lesser or equal....us800" or something like that. I know it's the drivers. My new computer has Windows 8.1, and the latest drivers for the US800 are from 2011. So, it works but it's bug-y. (buggy? Bugie? Budgie?).

It does sound like a conflict due to drivers. I will keep an eye out for something used. I am always looking. Doubt you will find a perfect condition US1800 for $100 like I offered, but you never know. Maybe Chili wants to upgrade and pass the bone...

I A/B'd it for a bit with Bad Vibrations (which is I think the most recent of your songs I have on this computer; I've got the album somewhere, but apparently not here!)
BV actually sounded a bit bassier. Or at least the bass parts seemed louder and more defined.

I agree that the kick is a little woofy. But I also think it's just down to personal preferences. I think plenty of people are going to like that sound.

Bass is just a bit strong. A bit heavy - maybe around 100hz or so.

That's about it. I thought it sounded great.

Good to hear you got sprung from the "big house". How many license plates were you able to stamp out?
