Help with miking a guitar amp

I have a rogue CG100R 100 watt guitar amp with two tens or maybe they're twelves.

I am considering miking it rather than just using the pre amp and speaker emulators on my fx.

What type of mic should I use - dynamic?

And in the lower end price ranges of under 100 bucks what mics would you recommend?

Or what in general to look for!

The simple answer would be a shure SM57 but me I would use a cheap LD like the Berry B1 or the equivalent Studio Projects Mic.

When I do P.A. duty I mic Lead & Rythym with Berrys, I get some funny looks but what the Fuk the sound is great.

Try close-mic'ing the front with an SM57, and a condenser at the back of the cab (if it's open-back) -- blend to taste...
