have i made the right choices?? opinions please

just ordered a new set up, ive used recording rigs in the past but never put one together my self so here goes

Asus P5QPL-VM EPU Motherb oard S775 Intel G41 mATX
4 gb ram
750 gb hard drive
1tb external hard drive

cubase 5 essential
guitar rig 4 kontrol

Looks good.. should have no problems hardware-wise.

You didn't list your interface/sound card - which is the most important part of any DAW.

How are you monitoring? headphones? near-fields?

the guitar rig kontrol foot pedal acts as an interface for my guitar and i'l use headphones for the next few weeks til i get some proper monitors
