Oh well, I read some of the messages there and it seems he is the moderator for one of the boards but doesn't really participate there much. I've found more insite from reading his messages on this website and all his articles at http://www.itrstudio.com/misc.html

I think Harvey's been a little extra busy, and he had some eye surgery
going on lately too. He's been very helpful towards me there at his forum.
Definitely worth checking his fourm out IMHO.

The recpit forum is only 3 months old, so it's still picking up speed. Just did a lengthy post on figure 8 mic pattern uses as a matter of fact. I try to get involved with every thread when possible, but some of the posters are so fast and sharp, they beat me to the answer almost every time. All I can do is add, "What he said".

It's gratifying to see how the level of knowledge in this forum has increased in such a relatively short time. A year or two ago, it was a forum of a lot of people posting "XX RULZ!!". It seems like nowadays, there are more "It depends" answers with a lot more explanation of theory thrown in. That's really good, and I'm proud to have played a small part in that change.

The Villagers at the Ice House in '63? Great shot. Those mics have got to be Harvey's, Sandy (the sound & light guy) never had mics that good in his life.

"small part in that change"

Correction!
Should be BIG part.
Thanks for everything Harvey.
Must be exciting for your new intern "Drey".

Nope, we were being recorded for RCA by Al Schmitt. I think they were Wally Heider's U47s. He supplied the sound truck.

Harvey,
I have a question about room acoustics/design I'm hoping you would help with. But, seeing that this is a mic forum, I'm not sure which board/forum I should ask on?

I was also hoping I could get you to comment on the pro's and con's of the Topaz vs the Ghost (the electronics inside the consoles and etc) But, again I not sure where the approbate place is to ask? Thank you, DJL
