what do you guys think of the new Guilds ? i have an acoustic D25 that i love but i have not had much to do with the new ones that are made by Fender mine is the classic guild made before Fender. just thought i would ask i love my Guild in the studio!

I've got three; a 69 F-50R Special, a DV-52, and a Mark II classical and I like 'em all. The new ones? I played D-55 awhile and it seemed nice. Overall, I think Guild has maintained pretty good quality at all their manufacturing locations over the years, especially compaired to Gibson.

What year is your D25? Ryan Adams plays an early '70s D25 on a lot of his records, sounds great. I'm keeping my eye out for one that was made before they went to the arched backs. Sorry, I really didn't contribute anything to your question.

Been happy with my Guild 1986 Blond D-37 acoustic, and Guild X-181 which is basically a Gibson ES-135, only fatter and single cut away...

They're both from the 1980's

well i am not sure what year it is i know its after 76 because it has a spruce top on it and its got a really nice inlay name rather than paint and the back is arched i love the sound of it on Mic or with my pickup on it. i got the thing used at guitar center for $250 with a hardshell case! then i put a fishman rare earth pickup on it that really does well with my guitar, i have not seen any more guitars like it for sale any place although they have a cheaper guitar built like it only satin finish i think a friend of mine has one... the new ones seem to be like the early 70's mine looks like this i like it well enough and i do not see myself parting with it anytime soon :D although i play my Gretsch when i play out most of the time i find myself recording with the Guild. the new ones look like this

If anybody sees my '75 D-25 serial #117058 I like to have it back please.
