Holy crap- I *did* own one of those things- they're right.

Haven't thought about that for many moons. I was my frist reverb. Plugged it into a Tascam Porta 2 HS. Ahh!!! That classic sound! Tape hiss, cheap noise redux tone suck, and too much honky delay...er, reverb!

Ah, the good old days.

Or not. ;)

I hear a lot of that same stuff on many peoples recordings these days! ;)

That is truly cool. Long live low-fi. Long live retro hiss. I used to have a mixer in my junk box that looked exactly like that unit. Sounded raw and hissy as I'd imagine only Radio Shack vintage 1980 gear could. There's an odd attraction to horrible, low-fi, nasty sounding gear I admit. Brings back memories of a better time? Ha ha, that's a good one.

EDIT: And it gets even better. I see that Radio Shack is advertising with intelliTXT in the text of my post. Or is it MS Live... whatever... I'd go back and spell it wrong but it's too funny as it is.

Virtual Shacking Technology has saved me COUNTLESS trips to Radio Shack. Need to patch a Stereo 1/4 --> RCA --> 8th Inch Mono --> XLR? IT'S ALL IN THERE, BABY!
Ha-ha-ha-ha-choke-ha-ha-gasp-choke-ha-ha!!!!!111!!!!!!
