For cool edit guys

Damn, that was freakin' cool. I kinda want to make a black and white European independent film just so I can use that as the music for the opening credits.

off to smoke cigarettes in the dark,
Chris

I dig the effects man....is it all MIDI except for the guitar??

I just started using Cool Edit a month ago and need to learn the controls and plug ins....

pretty cool program .......
interesting material man......

Later,
Joe

Man I'm in trans. I like the atmosphere. But why is this so special for cool edit?

The folks in the ecool edit forum were asking for examples of cool edit and I figured I may as well post it here too.
The song started as one Midi track and a couple guitars on four track. The tape had the effects on the guitars printed to a track. The vox were all done in cool edit. All the vocal effects and layering were done with cool edit so it's a decent example of cool edits "sound".

Glad you guys liked it.

That is pretty cool Jake. Kind of a dark sound. Pretty cool indeed.

Something to try on this one - pull the bongo way back - I figure it would sound better with the bongo more subtle. I like the rest of it just fine. :)

I would but it's so old that I've lost the mix session. I really didn't know as much or couldn't hear as well in 1998. Sorry.

Thanx for the comments everyone, you better download it if you want to ever hear it again. I've run out of space on nowhere so I'm swapping in one song at a time.

Strange piece man. I enjoyed it. I copped a vision of Kinda like being in a deep downtown district at night on an obscure pacific island...lotsa trading and stuff going on, walking past pieces of conversations almost knowing what they were about.. out there babe, and you kept it in control... :)

"...it's so old that I've lost the mix session. I really didn't know as much or couldn't hear as well in 1998."

So old. Four years. That pretty much says a lot about what's going on in this area, doesn't it? Four years is nothing, and yet homerecording is way different. I've watched the overall knowledge on this board grow like crazy in three years. I wish I could keep up. LOL You see way fewer newbie-type questions in the newbie forum, even.

So, what kind of stuff are you doing these days?

Yeah it's not that long. Problem is I backed up all my cool edit files on some cheap bulk CD's that scratched up seemingly spontaneously.
I just had a song on here called "A Speaker" did you hear that one? Problem with nowhere is I have only 15 megs and aboud 12 of that is taken up with recordings I've done for my dad.
Check it out if you like.

So I'm swapping my songs for the clinic one at a time, sorry. I'll try to get dad's stuff on his own account in a few days.

Let me know when you do Jake, as the server may disable the second account if they come from the same computer.

While this is sitting at the top of the page, I'd just like to say that CoolEdit has changed my life. I hated recording on a 4 track...damned pan knobs that served 3 functions????

Anyway, CoolEdit 2.0 is fresh out of the box at my house, and as soon as I get a computer fast enough to run it, I'm sure I'll love it too.

Bye

URLs mean nothing, I need to know the usernames you used so the server doesn't nuke you when it does maintenance ;)

Artist "Just Jake"

Anyone know how to switch email addreses on accounts? They're for different artists, my dad just can't seem to sign up. (he's old)
