Edit: Just got a reply back from them saying I just need a Y adapter to go to 1/4". So I'm guessing I can hook them into the DMP3. :)

I played with mobile stuff for a while, but I have gone as far as I'm going to go with it. There are plenty of people making electret stuff for plug-in power, I can think of about a half-dozen off the top of my head. None of them bother with balanced phantom power though, I don't know why, it's harder than plug-in power, but not greatly so. Works for me though :)

I do my mics in an extended lead with the capsule in a lapel-size case, but that's it, I ain't doing the earbuds, the croakies, the pen mic, etc. I could do a phantom-power adaptor for other people's stuff but generally I have found the studio market is about 10x the mobile market. At least it is for me. So I budget my development efforts accordingly.

You'll see the plug-in power guys putting their mics on sale fairly regularly. Thus far, I haven't had that problem :)
