Fender 57/62 Pups?

Ok, so Ive been pondering going with the Texas Specials for a while now but never made the move. So, today, ready to hop on them, I call up my local place I get my stuff and ask if they have any in stock, and the guy I usually speak with says he has three, but they are all shoddy and broken, and the build quality isnt up on them right now, but he thinks Id like the 57/62s for the bluesy sound I want. Not as hot, but has that classic strat sound that has a bark but still is somewhat mellow if that describes it. So I do a bit of reading online, find Im really interested in the 57/62s and go down and pick em up.

So, Im just wondering what everyones thoughts on these are? Im replacing essentially a set of MIM pups that were swapped with lace sensor golds I didnt like for a small bit. Anyone use them have any thoughts on them? How high should I set em up? I know I saw people saying to pretty much put the texas specials flush with the pickguard, but I also know these dont have as high of an output. So really, Im just looking for some reassurance on these bad boys, and to get an idea of how wise the impulse buy I just made was. Im pretty happy at the moment

Oh, also, I havent found any literature online or on the box or anywhere on whether the middle pup is reverse wound? I was hoping for an out of phase sound in the 2 and 4 position, but I havent found anywhere that says anything on it.
