A friend just found a PL6 and started asking me questions.
I know that it is a variable D mike, designed to reduce proximity effect, and have heard it has been used as a kick mike by some.
He wants to use it on drums and asked about placement angle.
Is there any magic regarding the side vent area? He wants to use it on a snare, Top? bottom? vent up? down? Any help would
be cool, I may do some checking later myself but don't have
any experience with this one, and he can't let me have it right now.
