Echo Mia in Stereo?

Sooo, any way to hook up some headphones in to the Mia to listen in stereo? Do I have to use both outputs simultaneously? Theoretically, shouldn't I be able to use the virtual out 1 panned left, and virtual out 2 panned right, send it through the mono output and listen in stereo? That doesn't seem to work. I guess my question is, is there anyway to listen in stereo without using both outputs? Also, has anyone had good results with the Mia without an external mixer? With just using the console mixer it comes with? I am just using a di box and the Pod, and am wondering if I will encounter some problems down the road. Thanks!

I have a Delta Audiophile which is pretty similar.....I dont understand what you mean by sending it thru the "mono out" since it has stereo outs....I dont remember if the analog outs on Mia are RCA or 1/4" but all you need is a splitter that goes from the end of your headphones to 2-RCA's or 2 1/4" plugs, whatever applies.....

natedizzy, each plug is mono or just one side.... you're going to have to get an adapter that goes (2) 1/4" mono plugs > (1) stereo headphone plug..... check Radio Shack.

You could, I suppose, do OK without an external mixer but it sure makes it a lot easier to have one for hooking up stuff (I don't want to crawl around behind my computer every time I want to hook up a different mic!) You can get cheap mixers that do just fine... my Behringer is great.


I have 2 keyboards, a Presonus BlueTube preamp, a bass DI and a couple of mics going into my mixer into the MIA audio inputs and then a J-Station using S/PDIF in digitally. Very versitile.

the above post is right. get a dual mono 1/4" to single stereo 1/4" lead which are common and then a simple 1/4" to 1/8" adapter which are also common.

i suggest the above as I suspect a dual 1/4" to single 1/8" lead will not be easy to find.

Actually I bought a (2) 1/4" mono > 1/4" stero (RTS) adapter at Mars and then used a 1/4"stereo>1/8" stereo adapter.... works great and cost me less than $10 for both. Don't know if you can find one at Radio Shack but you might....
