Dumping Tracks

What is the procss of transfering tracking tracks from a hardware sequencer to a software sequencer. Ex: Akai MPC 2000xl to Nuendo. I have done it but only dumped my complete sequence from hardware sequencer to one track on the software sequencer ????

Just a thought.....

Does your hardware recorder have mute for each track ?
If so mute all but track one, record or transfer to track one in your software. Then go back and mute all but track two and record to track two on software, etc...etc...

Yes it's a little Roland PMA-5 4 track sequencer/module but it has the mute options, actually I mute them in and out when I record in to Nuendo so it wont sound like I'm looping the same thing over and over. Right now my equipment sucks, I have a Casio CTK519 keyboard and a Roland PMA 5 but it's soon to be a Motif and MPC
