As any of you may know, i am only 14 and don't have much money so keep that in mind as reasing this...

I am setting up my studio,

I need some Microphones for a Drum Set

Standard 5 piece.

I am looking for

1-Snare Mic
3-Tom Mics
1-Kick Mic
2-Overhang mics..

If possible I would like to include 2 more mics for Hit Hat and ride cymbal.

I would like to try and get it for around $100-150

I would like suggestions on Brands to look for and stay away from... Good mics.. and even if any of you have some I could buy.. thanks alot..

Get a Nady mic set, I bought one for $200 about 3 years ago and I'm still using it (upgrading very soon), but they work fine. (Only thing I don't particularly like is my kick sound, but it's sufficient).

Maybe you'll have to check out E-bay in used.
You can spend $100 on just the thre tom mics.(SM57)

Check ebay for an AKG D-112 for the kick. I recently sold one for $110 or something like that. They're great and cheap.

That's an awful low budget for all those mics. You may want to consider a 3 mic setup (2 overhead, one kick) to start out. You could buy those cheap Behringer ECM8000's for $40 each (x2) and an SM57 for $69 and make decent recordings for sure if the player can play! :)

Yeah, I know its cheap.. and it's sad...

But, I'm trying to build a descent place to record.. by January..

I have two of my friends bands comming in to make some Demo tapes...

So, I need everything like..

Digital Recorders, Mixers, Monitors, Pre Amps, Lots of mics... I think my could is at like 15.. ha.., Effects machines... its alot to try and get when your on a 14 year-olds budget..

Thanks for all the help..

Maybe il find some way to make more money... I was looking into getting a Nady Mic set.. as stated above...
