Delta Audiophile and S/PDIF prob

I have a Proteus 2000 by E-Mu controlled by MIDI hooked up to my Delta Audiophile through regular RCA cables. Recently I added a S/PDIF cable from the Proteus to the Delta soundcard. I can't seem to get any sound out of the S/PDIF even though in the Delta COntrol Panel it says there is a valid S/PDIF connection detected. I have tweaked the Patchbay/Router to no avail.

Please help..TIA!

I am looking to use the S/PDIF input Cubase VST
