I've never used any of their gear, nor have I heard anyone say much about them, but what I find "odd" about their preamp is that they're using a transformer input and digital controls, which in-turn, control relays in the signal path... None of which is my idea of being even remotely "ideal" for the stright-wire gain they're apparently trying to achieve.
