Cool Edit 2000

I purchased Cool Edit from Syntrillium in 2000. I have their original email to me with ID, License number, and the files needed to open the program. I've been using it all these years, and I require nothing better for my audio needs. A few months ago, my computer went down. I bought a new one, and have been trying to reinstall the program, but I haven't been able to. I'm using XP. Can anyone let me know if I can reinstall it, and if so, the steps involved. Thanks for your help.

I have no idea if it's a legit link or a pirate link or what, but given that the software is no longer for sale and you bought a licence, I don't think anyone's likely to care.


12 years is a hell of a long time, in terms of software.
If you do find you've been left behind, take a look at adobe audition (the modern equivalent of cool edit), or reaper.

From your message, I assume you have the original software but the other thing you need is their registration programme which should be a file called CE2KREG. If you have that, run it and you should be able to enter your ID number.
