Condensor with hum problem...

I have one that has a hum problem, rather loud low pitched hum, that isnt helped with quad cable or by switching preamps. No other mics do this, including other condensors. Also, it may be my imagination, but the mic seems to have a slight tingle to it when touching it with phantom power engaged. Pretty sure there is loose ground or something.
Anyone had this problem before? How did you fix it? Not too fond of taking them apart myself, as I'll probably make it worse, but if simple enough, I'll do it.

Remove the lower housing and sand off some of the paint buildup from where the lower housing tucks under the top part of the mic. It's not making a solid connection. No biggie, and very easy to fix.
