Hi,
like most of the peole here(i guess) I record in the same room that i have my computer and hard drives. Sadly the G5 fans and the HD (La cie firewire) noise lick into the microphone!! I tried to record my voice trhu the neumann M147 tube with i low cut filter, a shockmounth and enclose headphone. I`ve also tried to apply, after i record, a noise gate(in Logic 7) but with poor result. The voice sound very unnatural and I still can hear some noise!!!
Since i have a big closet i was thinking to put the computer there, but i don`t know if this will solve the problem since the room isn`t very big and the closet door is not soundproof!!
Please, could you help me to find a solution or if there is any paritcular recording tecnique to avoid noise lick?
