clean mic pre amp

hello im a wanting to get a good clean mic pre/eq
this is what i have i have a mojave 201 fet mic my interface is a
steinberg mr816x i am wanting to get a good mic pre that will work good
with this mic my budget is up to $ 1,500 can someone please help me out??

The Grace M101 seems to be highly regarded as a clean preamp :-

I have a Great River ME-1NV pre. It's list price is somewhere around $1,400, but I got it used for around $800. I upgraded from an Art Tube 3 MP (~$50). Oh man was that an upgrade. Immediately noticeable. For that cash I suppose it should be. Anyway, I'm happy with it.

Now your talking this is a great pre/eq!!!
But as TripleM had stated about his great river look for this stuff used and save your self some money, or purchase two of them!

I've had real good luck buying used gear. But I always check the seller's reputation. I wouldn't buy from someone I don't know and has no history or bad history.
