I just got a catalog in the mail, and was suprised to see Carvin has condensor studio mics, and studio near field monitors!
Does anyone know anything about the SRS6.5 Actives, or
the SRS6.5 Passives?

I have always thought very highly of Carvin guitars, but monitors?
The price is good, but I don't want to gamble on monitors.

Thanks for your help,
Kirk out.

Yo Cap'n Kirk:

Beam yourself up a pair of Yorkville monitors and have no fear of Klingon quality. [remember the Klingon language? Very gutteral.]

I have not heard the Yorkville active boxes; I do have a pair of the passives and, for the $$, they are very good.

You can get Yorkville online and find your nearest dealer.

Yo Senn:

I knew you were Klingon because you have so much knowledge, even in Klingon.

I have/ am currently using the Carvin passive monitors - I like them alot - I had the Alesis monitor ones (mk1), and I like these alot better. They've got a switch on each of them that changes the frequency response a bit, so you can set them at flat for monitoring, and then to contoured when you want to hear your mix through more of a HiFi style speaker. I shopped around awhile before buying them, and for the price, I'd say they can't be beat.
