1.PROBLEM: I just burned a mixed down file to CD (in mp3 format because my Nero program wouldn't read it in .wav) The cymbal hits came out really weird on the cd - kinda "wobbly" & piercing? They sounded great when I played them back in CEP (before saving the file). What did I do wrong?? The cymbal hits were done in one track, by themselves.

I know there's a million answers to this, so I apoligize.

I really didn't "master" the tracks, just adjusted the volumes to level them out, as this was my first "test" run of CEP.

2.How can I save the files in .wav for CD burning? I have the add-on burning thingy for CEP - but I can't even find it to open it because I'm a retard!!!

Thanks in advance!!

What you did wrong was to save in .mp3 format. Try a 16bit, 44.1kHz, stereo .wav file next time. Nero should be happy to burn that to CD for you.

Yeah, if you've been recording in 32 bit (as you BY GOD BETTER BE, lol), you'll have to go to "EDIT --> CONVERT SAMPLE TYPE" and choose 16bit like Don said. Then save that 16bit file and it should burn fine.

Yep, I'm an idiot. My settings were all wrong. Thanks for putting me on the right "track"!!

There's a keyboard shortcut: hit "F11" and "Enter" to convert the sample rate/bit depth. Of course, you have to have the settings where you want them first.

i have in the past sometimes accidentally picked microsoft adpcm (.wav) instead of Windows PCM (.wav) and that has caused some programs to not accept the file. Glad you got it working though!
