Yes I know how everyone hates these but a little personal experience from some of you would be helpful. I have the choice of the Studio Projects C4 or the Audix ADX-50s for use as overheads for drums (primarily). If anyone has an intense love or opinion for one or the other, please let me know. Thanks.

Where'd you get that idea?

I'm pretty sure there are people on this board who like the C4.

Oops!! I guess I didn't explain well enough. I meant that people hate when asked which is better, not that people hate these two mics.

Cheers,
Scott

Yo sss. I've never used the Audix mic in question, but I like the C-4's just fine. They're very accurate, and are very crisp as overheads. I use Oktava MC012's and AKG C2000B's more often for overheads, and the C-4's as guitar mics, and for mandolin, recorder, violin, etc. It's not that the C-4's aren't good as overheads, it's more that my other overheads aren't that good on guitar.-Richie
