Whats up .. Im new to this forum.. I just got an AT4047 SV and im really feeling it.. Has anyone had any experience with this mic? Also.. where can I get instructions on placing the popper stopper and shock mount... It didnt come with any so I guess AT assumes im a recording genious... lol.

I've used it on a few occasions and thought it was hit and miss. But when it hits, it really hits. I like it a lot, and on the right source it can be very cool.

Don't worry about the popper-stopper for now. Go and pick yourself up a good pop filter from the music store.

I'd draw you a diagram if I could, but unfortunately, you're just going to have to mess around with it untill you figure it out. :D Sorry.

i've been thinking about getting a couple of those for toms......... they look as though they have a bunch of low end........

you should try it on toms and tell me/everyone what you think.

also if anyone else has that mic and has used it on toms........tell us what you thought.

I have one. It's a great mic with LOTS of color (from the tranny in it) which can be a good thing or a bad thing. As Chester says, it's a hit or miss with matching the source with this mic. It's a warmer sounding mic.
