I picked these up at a yard sale today, and after I pulled the grills and got the dust off the cones- holy cow! they aren't blown! OK- so far I haven't found much on the net, except they were made sometime between 1995 and 1999 by the same outfit in St. Louis that makes Crate and Ampeg. They are 50 watts RMS, 8ohm impedence , with dual 1/4" inputs, apparently before the days of speakon. The real question is- were they made as mains for some incredibly small PA, or as wedge monitors, or both? They have heavy grills, and have flanges for speaker stands, so I'm guessing they were made as mains for sound reinforcement for small venues, such as coffee houses or a small church. I have not found an owner's manual or schematic on line. Anything that anybody knows about these suckers or their larger cousins would be gratefully appreciated. I'm thinking they'll make good wedge monitors for a small PA (solo act- only 250 watts to the mains). If I bridge a Carver PM125 to 8 ohms, it should drive one of them just fine. Anybody know anything about this line? I'm aware the line was discontinued in the late 90's.-Richie
