There is enough recorded photographic evidence recorded by deep sea explorers of deep sea creatures that appear alien in appearance. Whether or not any discovery of their existence is unimportant. Evolution will prevail.

We will only know when life is discovered on another planet. There may be life forms supported on planets many light years away that can not reach us yet

What's your point? We can only study and learn everything there is to be learned about life forms on this planet or beneath the seas.
