These are probably exactly like any other chineese-made microphones, no worse nor better.

Be ware when the seller needs to put in cue words like "Neumann". Most likely this is a scam.

Do a google groups search on rec.audio.pro for "shanghai mike" and you will find a lot of information on Feilo. Basically they manufacture the same mics for lots of companys eg Nady, SE Electronics, ADK, Samson etc just altering the colour and labelling for each customer. Feilo could possibly be their own house brand. Quality control and consistency appears to be an issue with these shanghai mics.

gyraf, it would be unwise assume that all chinese manufactured mics are the same. The 797 audio factory in Beijing is different to the Feilo factory in Shanghai for example. Studio Projects and Marshall have developed a good reputation for consistency and quality control for their chinese made mics.

i love

"This mic has been tested against Neumanns U87 and has come up only 10% less quality."

oh 10%! anyway, it might be a decent mic it might not... i would stick to studio projects or mxl.

or hop on a flight to bejing and buy up some 797s. they test 9% less quality!
