thanks for the replies everyone !
Buffalo Bob-
you know, they just rounded up a bunch of your brethren out on antelope island this past weekend.....

yes, if you purchase a Taylor, you will play so much, your fingers will turn into little arnold schwarzennegers..............

incidently, i got my 414 for a real nice deal through, of all places, guitar center........
dtb-
don't go home, hang out and jam...... and i hope that my at4033 sounds better than a radio smack, or i just threw away $360......
JR#97-
processing- just a bit of ambient reverb......
there's no percussion, so i think it's just me tapping the body as i'm muting the ends of some of the chord changes......
and as far as taming the squeeks, that's the one thing i thought i failed miserably at on this one! i hear it squeeking a lot! oh well, they were brand new strings, and frankly, i just don't have enough technique to not do it..... though honestly, i kind of like the idea of leaving them in, cuz it makes it sound more natural to me.....
Jim Solowy-
yeah, small sound..... i really think i've got to add a soundhole pickup to this sound..... this is purely miced sound, so it's all about whatever the mic is hearing at that moment, and i know from experimenting with other guitarists' rigs that, when you blend in either the piezo or soundhole pickup, with the mic, and get the phasing right, i think that's the best sound of all...... gives the most possibilities of eq........
it helps to play this loud through a home system, to get the full effect.... did you listen through phones, monitors, computer speakers, or home stereo........?
Track Rat-
man, larry coryell....... i don't hear that name tossed around too often... i appreciate the compliment, though i don't come anywhere near Larry C's talent... he's a monster......
tell me about the xxv-ga...............
