This amp runs around 900, but for a halfstack its a great deal.
I STRONGLY recommended this amp. 100watts of tube power
you could probably find one used for a 6 or 700.
the distortion is great, and it has a good clean tone.
you can also get about any era of distortion out of it you want.
good luck!
oh and it comes in a 2 12 model which still sounds great..

peavey doesnt have the greatest rep, but on the new valveking it has a texture knob which allows you to change how the power runs.

Regarding the amp, I am looking for something that won't explode and seriously rocks! And I mean rocks as hard as qtcoolstar rocks! There are no styles of music that match the rock-factor of qtcoolstar so I cant give you something comparable.
