AKG c1000s for overhead

Ive heard that C1000s are good for vocals and acoustics but what about overheads?

I like them as tom mics and even snare but not really as overheads. They can be a little harsh on top especially with thicker cymbals a lot of drummers use for gigging. I waffle between AT-4033's and Octava MC-012's, depending on the drum kit.

I used to like them as overheads, but if I listen back to a demo we did with a band two summers ago...

yikes, harsh and lifeless!!
