Adobe Audition question

I'm trying to punch in over a track. Instead of just hitting record and starting to record immediately, I want the preroll to play first and then begin recording at the start of the marker. For some reason adobe is recording during the preroll too, instead of once it hits the marker. Anyone know how to remedy this?

Yes, select the area you want to record. Then right click and select punch in. Then widen the area for a preroll with your marker point selectors. Select record and you should be good to go.
