Ok I'm kind of looking at getting in to making music, I have the money and want to start with the simplicity of FL. I want to get in to making Dub Step and maybe some hip hop type tunes. I've found some paid sites which come recommended ( other forums etc ) but all the paid sites for videos and tutorials are all hip hop. Are there any dubstep sites with tutorials much like the FL hip hop dedicated ones?

Other than FL any hardware/software that can be recommended? I understand it's going to take a long while but is there anything I can get at this early stage which will make life easier?

Thanks

I think a workstation midi controller would help you a lot if you don't already have.
Something like a MAudio Axiom or Akai MPK Mini or something like that.
I don't know much about FL Studio, but assuming you can use plugins I suggest checking out Native Instruments' and IK Multimedia's websites. There are some free versions of really awesome programs to be found there.

As far as tutorials go, nowadays you can probably learn more from youtube then you can in college!
Just search "FL studio dubstep" or "Fl Studio tutorial" or something like that.
And don't forget to check out FL's own forum. Maybe you'll run in to our buddy Madeon!

Nice mate, thanks for taking the time to reply it's appreciated.

Unless you are in love with FL Studio then any half decent midi capable DAW will do the trick when combined with some 'good VST instruments.

I recommend you watch all the generic dubstep tutorials you can on YouTube before you commit some serious coin to any particular DAW/VSTi combination.Whats the sig bundle going to cost you ?
