They have pills and sprays now, there is a window. If used in time are just as effective.
 
Well on Thanksgiving day one very irresponsible person who was hosting the dinner decided it was OK to not mention she had been deathly sick for 10 days "with a cold".. Of course she didn't get tested, refused the vaccine and didn't let any of us know she had been sick....So far one of my daughters, one of my son-laws, my wife and ME have tested positive....I got one of the Pfiser vax and was comfortable based on studies that one is enough. I chose to not get the second or the 3rd... Normally my wife is the bad ass Italian who barely gets sick...she was wiped out ...me I felt shitty about a day after she did, got the chills had a hack and was a little achy ..Seems like by midway through the first night the fever broke for me and I feel like I am getting over a cold...doing the Vitamin C, Zinc, D3 and Selenium and if I can get my hands on it the Ivermectin..Wife is not a happy camper but her 80 year old Mama got through it not even knowing she had it...she looked like shit... A little worried about the daughter as she has had some heart issues but we will stay positive , hope n pray she works through it....REALLY PISSED at the dumbass for giving this to all of us. Well update....One daughter, both son-in-laws, 4 of my six grandkids, the wife and I all have it. The older daughter, her oldest daughter who is 16 and my 10 year old grand daughter from my daughter who has it do not test positive as of today...weird but true. The grandkids that have it range from 3 to 7 and all have very minimal symptoms.. I'm doing the best of the adult bunch... The son in law that is doing the worst actually got the Pfiser vax a few months ago...For me the first day was a little rough but it's smooth sailing for me...The wife was wiped out for the last few days but is feeling a little better today...We all immediately went on Zinc, Vitamin C and D3 ...I don't seem to need it but the rest are being tested to see if they can do the anti body infusion...you have to take survey and if your symptoms go beyond a certain level they don't want you to get it because it can actually worsen your situation....My daughter is the wild card as she has been having heart issues for the last 2 years AFIB and other issues...sucks she is on a very restricted diet and can't take advil or aspirin because of the heart issues so she's muscling through without their aid...The Advil sure helped me the first couple of days... Into my 4th or 5th day, no fever, very slight cough and a little tired but certainly on my way to getting done with this. To be continued...
 
It may last for a month in one way or another. Taste and smell take ages to come back properly. Banging headaches the first week.
 
Well as someone who did not seem to get it as bad as the rest I can say with great certainty I am sure glad I didn't. No headaches, No severe coughing or pains, no sore throat ( YAY!) just a slight fever, little aches n pains, slight cough and sniffles and major fatigue and brain fog. The wife, n kids are all getting through it and seem to be on the upswing. 9 of us so far with my older daughter and her older daughter who appeared to dodge it possibly now coming down with it.. we'll know today. As much as I wanted to keep keeping on on the remodel I just about got nowhere...Today I woke up with a song lyric and melody in my head that would not stop so I'm up at 5...quickly recorded the idea on the phone and maybe It'll be a song someday.... If we never met, there would be no memories made...It has a melody and feel similarity to the Beatles song Tomorrow never knows...I'm so glad we met, I'm so glad we made....memories well I have a lot of ideas for more lyrics to mess with it but it is fun that my Covid brain gave me one...I think I'm @ 85% back and I'm going to try and get back to it today...Just fiddle farted around yesterday with lumber I had torn out pulling nails and stacking for re-use if possible...I've re-used quite a bit of the wood I tore out hardly had to buy any 2 x 4's...All is good in Whoville.
 
My whole direct family ended up with it...The wife n I, my two daughters, their 6 kids and their husbands....and who knows who they spread it to. All because one person didn't have the common sense to get tested and or to warn us that she had been very sick before having us over for Thanksgiving. Oh hell no we can't cancel Thanksgiving and all the work put in for a silly cold...WTF! We are all doing OK the wife still has a horrific cough but good oxygen levels so far...the rest of us are getting out of the woods...I had mild symptoms but lost my taste about 6 days in and still gone..I can taste sweet and salt but no flavor...no smell... In the big picture we are very lucky.

Humbled and horrified by our HR member Weekenduser "Steve" and the cross he must bear at this time. People still take this damn bug to lightly.
 
Well 30 days and still can't taste completely. I'd say I'm at 30% ( which is better than zero ) certain things I can kinda taste then things like coffee ( which I really enjoy with cream just taste like hot cream n water weird. Hope it comes back.

A local fellow old rocker about my age got it a few weeks ago, thought he was getting over it and has ended up in the hospital and it ain't looking good...fingers crossed and prayers going out for Roman Roach... dang...
 
Why are we seeing no positivity about the omicron variant? Although said to be more transmissible, it is less severe and therefore less likely to cause severe illness and death. Less severe illness and death is good, yeah? Yet it is still 24/7 panic porn.

Look back in this thread. There were those who were closer to correct than many of the experts and follow the science parishioners over the past 2 years. Now many of those experts are coming around to the reality that we are not going to be able to isolate our way out of this thing. We are not going to able to mask our way out of this thing. We are not going to able to lockdown our way out of this thing. We are not going to be able to vaccine our way out of this thing. Whatever we do, and some of the so called experts who over the past two years have sought to strip you of autonomy and governance over your own medical decisions have reluctantly yet inevitably begun to agree with we who in this very thread stated, "the cure" cannot be worse than the disease.

I am not anti vax. It has been my belief that it would be prudent for some to get the vax, but that is their decision for their own health, not mine. Indisputable it has saved lives. Congratulations. However, I have told you that there was evidence pointing to the vaccine making you more likely to get the virus. Clearly you were lied to by those pushing the "follow the science", telling you if you received the vax you would no longer be in danger of becoming infected, you could stop wearing masks, you could return to normal life. You were lied to when they tell you that this is now an unvaccinated driven virus. "The science", the news media, even very recently The President of the United States, lying to you. Who are we kidding, Biden is so mentally addled he will say/read anything they tell him to say/read. But you knew that, and has been in idiot his entire life, yet voted for him anyway. How does it feel, that you've been lied to? For some of you, you don't care, you'll continue to repeat any lie they tell you. Yet to be seen whatever "more likely" health ramifications for the vaxed. So please, pretty fucking please, keep up on your booster/boaster shots ad infinitum, wear your masks, isolate and distance yourselves, we don't want hospitals to become overwhelmed and I don't want you making me sick. Otherwise, fuck off with the attempts at shaming others for medical decisions that should be left to the individual.

Not wanting to fight with ya brother Mick cause I agree with a lot of what you've said here but I find the above statement hard to believe. Can you provide a link to the "evidence"?

It is my belief that if you can live through getting the virus...that's is your best defense...so far so good for me but I'm barely a month in on this and still have a slight hack...with my rockin buddy ending up in the hospital I'm a little ill at ease.

That said it is also my belief we as a world failed miserably in uniting and collectively agree on a set plan to strategically stop the spread of this very unique and troublesome virus in the first place.

This website IMO has taken the most practical and unbiased approach at analyzing the fail... This LINK takes you to a page on that website that identifies what countries are winning and losing...the site has a ton of information and if one wants to know how to do good at something one should study the winners and the losers and using that information formulate a plan to use the winning formula to win and avoid the mistakes of the losers

Hey....I'm all for individuals making their own choices.....hands down......just do what you feel is right and live it.....no matter what.

But....come on Mick....you really think that the vaccine causes people to be MORE likely to be infected? Really? I'd agree that those who are vaxxed are JUST as likely to get infected and pass it on.....but MORE likely? The vaxxed are DRIVING the virus? Somehow....somewhere...someone (not you) desperately tried like hell to twist the truth so much so that maybe the advice should be for no one to get vaxxed....since the vaxxed are driving the virus.

The cruise ship thing is so suspicious. Passenger must be Vax'd. Boosted. Neg test. To board a sterile ship. Yet they get COVID after departure.

Obviously, the vax doesn't work, or the testing.

But then why make it a LAW to get the shot? A shot that may or may not do anything.

Knowing this , they still assemble in crowds and not wear masks or distance. OH I know! We'll blame the failure on the people who didn't take the shot..Classic..Somebody stop them before we are MEGA fucked.

Too late. CDC is warning new rules are eminent.

We cannot hide in our houses forever . There won't be anything...if there ever was to begin with. The economy has hard crashed. Most are in limp mode, making it work. Then you get a bunk shot, that's a cross your fingers thing..A bunch of snobs try to escape it, and get sick. Blame the ones who stayed in quarantine. Government is granting itself new powers. Unconstitutional powers...that could be used as a platform to destroy everyone. No trust..None.

Kids are damaged..families..forever.

Nightmare Insane Clown World. I fear these new CDC coming guidelines. What are they gonna do to us next.
 
County started checking for vax on Monday. Places that sell food. Places where you sit. Walmart closed for COVID or sterilizing..

It is causing friction in the community.
