Packers looked good again last night............except this time they actually won!! :p

That's it,Packers are on a one game winning streak!Watch out NFL,step aside because the Packers aren't taking any prisoners baby. It's shoot first and ask questions later,no mercy.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
I hope I can make it through the day.
I have no jobs or obligations this weekend plus I'm only working two days next week.whoo hoo!

It must be a man thing
Both my son and I are jazzed about hi-def,my wife and daughter don't give a rat's ass.

He's clueless.
So an HDI cable is better than the five RCAs?

Every once in awhile...
my wife surprises me.I mentioned getting a set of headphones for the kids to use on the computer and my wife asked why I won't let them use one of my sets.I told her they wetre too nice for the kids to use.So she told me rather than buying a cheap set for the kids to get another nice set for myself and demote my lesser set to family use.

My criteria for new headphones...to seal out as much outside sound as possible and to keep sound from bleeding out.I've found that if I monitor myself loud enough during vocals I get bleed into the mic.I've actually put a hat on a few times over the phones to remedy this situation.

The weather
Cold.:(

Yes, thats why it is so expensive and at $40 thats cheap - over here you would pay at least twice as much:eek:

I am on vacation from today until next Wednesday; a short break in London to see the Christmas lights; get some live music bars in, a comedy club and a show - We will rock you - story of Queen which is having rave reviews.

Then back home and then fly to Switzerland next Thursday for a meeting and back Friday. I love this consultancy work lifestyle - its better than working

Have a great weekend:)

No! My point was that the size of the display is not a factor.

As I stated earlier, I can not tell any difference between component and HDMI. Mine is connected via component cables, and I have often had people tell me it's among the best HD pictures they've seen.

As always, YMMV. However, if you are happy with the picture, I would put it to rest and just leave be. If you ever decide to go with surround sound, you might want to revisit it then - since the two audio wires in the component cables are (obviously) only carrying a stereo signal.

Or so you've been told.

Today
Making ribs, raking the last of the leaves, doing a little winterising on the house and taking my time.No Packers tomorrow so I may do some homereccing.

Hi def
Or is it high def?
I'm satisfied with the picture but still have questions. It seems the quality is determined by the weakest link and that all hi def is not equal. If I do buy a new DVD or Blu ray(whatever that is)thingy I'll look into the resolution and perhaps I'll use a HDI cable on that.

Wow, bad enough we have an Englishman in this thread... now the French are going to run the joint.

What's the world coming to?

It seems like the 8 and 3 New York team is the exciting one, they've been getting all the coverage.
They're in a tighter race. G-men have a 3 game lead with only 5 left to play. Pretty much the only question left for them is whether they can hang on to the 1 seed.

Sports stations here are all over a Jets-Giants Superbowl. While it was a nice win for them yesterday, knocking off the Titans, I'm still not convinced. After all, this is the Jets we're talking about.

On the other hand, Terry Bradshaw said that if Favre were still in GB, then GB would be the 8-3 team. He might just be right.

Eh? Sorry, have been on vacation enjoying myself so am not up to speed with "happenings" yet.;)

But I did go into Harrods sound department in London and saw that you could buy HDMI cables for between $100 and $300
I'm using SCART ;)

Rodeos aren't the only sport that needs a clown.:rolleyes:I heard that too and I wonder if he's actually watched any games. The Packers either lead or are close to the top in penalties and the sacks are way down.I don't see how having the league's interception leader remedies that.
The Jets are my #2 team this year and I'm a Favre fan but the media and fans are looking for a story that's not from the field. It's getting real old and the Ted Thompson bashers seem to be the knee jerk type.

Last nights ass whooping doesn't make me feel real good though.:(

I've got a date!
With my wife.:D
We're going to the Casino in Milwaukee.I've been there as a construction worker but never as a customer. We're going for dinner,a little gambling and then a show,it's Sue Tedeschi, she rocks.:cool:We're calling this our anniversary date even though it's a month early. The last few years we've done nothing for our anniversary because it's so close to Christmas.

Good luck. Hope you get laid. :D

Happy Thanksgiving, boys!!

My date....the review!
Dinner was great except fo my meal.:rolleyes:I could've fed my family for a week for the price of dinner last night.I don't mind going to these type of places once in awhile but my main course was very weak, everything else leading up to it was very good though.I've definitely had better meals for half the price. It seems that once you hit a certain price, you're not paying for what's on the plate anymore.
The casino is nice, but is a symbol of the ineptitude of Milwaukee's leadership. At the same time the new convention center was being built downtown the Potawatamis wanted to build their casino downtown also but the Mayor blocked it and had them build in the valley. The valley is an industrial area, the casino is next to the stockyards.:rolleyes:We gambled a bit and we both hit at the same time and cashed out,we're probably up $10.:D

The show was excellent, the opening act was an English chap named James Hunter and he was awesome.Sue Tedeschi was great also.My personal highlight is when she played "For no one"a favorite Beatles song of mine that also ran across the grain of her usual R&B/blues type show.

Gobble,gobble
I'm making prime rib,'cause that's what the pilgrims had on the first Thanksgiving.:DI wonder what football teams they rooted for back then.
