In case you missed the debate last week SNL brought us a great recap

TAE

All you have is now
Totally funny ass recap with frickin Jim Carrey as Joe Biden...

No matter which side yer on...the debate was sad....and this is happy....Be happy!

It's not the SNL debate. This is someone explaining it.

I stopped watching SNL years ago. It just stopped being funny. It was always socially conscience, it just went overboard.

They should release a DVD of all Tina Fey's skits as Sarah Palin those were hilarious. If you you've never seen the film "Game Change" it's excellent. It's their campaign story.

BUT THIS VIDEO IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE POLITICAL remark. Like everything else out of his mouth, he was WRONG. I voted for that cretin twice. Last time I'll ever vote Democrat.

LOL! Right!

BUT THIS VIDEO IS MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE POLITICAL remark. Like everything else out of his mouth, he was WRONG.

Obama says he didn't go down as president...(I assume he means politically and not sexually)...but the thing Obama misses is that his entire 8 years were rejected when Trump was elected.
The Dems/Libs these days keep trying to say the Obama gave us a great economy, and that Trump is only riding on those coattails....well then, why did Trump win...?...why would people want to change things if they were so great?

Latest polls (if you follow them) show that even now, with the COVID madness...something like 70% of people say they've done better economically the last 4 years than they did under Bush or Obama.

I think Obama was pissed more than Hillary that Trump won...because whatever "legacy" he thought he had or expected Hilary to somewhat preserve...all disappeared...and the main thing people will remember about Obama down the road, is that he was the first black president....and that mess known as "Obamacare", which no matter who wins in Novemeber, will probably get changed dramatically so that it really won't resemble the thing Obama signed.

It's true. When the history books are written by unbiased writers, Obama should go down as the worst President this country has ever had, and I voted for him twice. I firmly believed him when he said "affordable healthcare for all." Then when it was finally rolled out in 2014 (?) I wasn't eligible. I still have the form letter email somewhere from the White House when I complained and asked WHY I wasn't eligible. I was told it wasn't for everyone. I guess I wasn't part of "all".

I want Trump to win for two reasons. First, he's a great economic President. Every Dem was saying the market was going to crash if he won. Instead it shot up a hundred or so points. I've never made much. But, I was still bringing home more. I paid less in taxes, and didn't have to pay the Obamacare penalty. I find it hilarious how the Dems are screaming about what a mess this economy is. What do you expect when you shut down the economy? Unemployment is rising. Duh! The second reason is, liberals were insane for 4 years, imagine what they'll be like after 8? It will be GLORIOUS.

I don't have one Democratic friend who didn't within the first few months of his Presidency GUARANTEE he'd be out of office before his term was up.

On the other hand, I'm curious what will take place if Biden/Harris win. I could fully imagine them trying to open the borders, free healthcare, free college, and packing the court. Of course, NONE of that will happen. But, it'll be entertaining to watch. If it did get done, and people are paying 40% tax. Businesses close, and the country goes to hell. It'll be the last time the Dems are ever in power.

I don't know which would be more entertaining. Either way, I'll be having a good time.

On the other hand, I'm curious what will take place if Biden/Harris win.

Pelosi and the far left Dems/Libs are already working on a plan to create a commission that can decide if a president is "unfit"...something that has nothing to do with the 25th amendment, but instead, it would put the decision into the hands of a small group of politicians and unelected people.
They are preparing the logistics for "officially" removing Biden and putting Harris in full control as the president.
It will happen within the first Biden term.

They are also looking to pack the Supreme Court with as many liberal justices as they need in order to guarantee that anything they want, if they take it before the SC...they will get their way. They are also looking to implement new rules in Congress to prevent the political minority from being able to stand in their way.
Also on the table is the possible addition of 2-4 new states that will have predominantly Dem/Lib representatives...and then to top it all off, with all that voting power in their hands exclusively, they will look to get rid of the Electoral votes...so then all future elections will be run by the popular vote, which will be controlled by the liberals in CA, NY, OR, WA...etc...so basically, the country will have a one-party government, since no minority parties will ever be able to win anything...and whatever small victories they manage, could always be overturned by the packed Supreme Court.

After that...we will sink into a radical socialist existance, run by a small few in power, with full control of the media, so the propaganda will be absolute, and things like freedom of speech and true equality will be doled out however the radicals think is appropriate at any given moment.
There will be all kinds of mandatory edicts and mandates that if anyone refuses to follow, will be penalized in some way...loss of government controlled benefits, etc...and since everything will become government controlled...that could mean just about anything.

Welcome to the USA of China.

Oh...and don't expect the moderate, more conservative Dems to suddenly become "woke" to the radical beast they have allowed to take power, and for them to try and roll things back to a normal, constitutional democracy...because by the time they do become "woke", if they ever do...it will be too late, all the rules will have been changed, and we will become a 3rd world disaster like Venezuela or Cuba...etc...at least for the majority, but there will still be the liberal elites who will live better than ever, isolated from the madness they have created for the rest of us.

Oh...and if I sound paranoid...it doesn't mean I'm just imagining all this is can happen...because it really can.
If people like Hitler and Castro and Kim Jong-un can come to power and hypnotize the majority of people into allowing madness to take control...don't think in this social media driven world that it would be any harder now for propaganda to create collective group-think...oh wait, it's already been happening, and people are happily accepting it either out of fear (look at the COVID overreactions) or because of their desire for convenience, created through our technology addiction.

Sounds like Ireland where you cant get rid of the Government no matter how you vote. It started off as proportional representation which some countries even want to change their system for. But now its the political class and the peasants who are told how to vote and drip fed pro Gov and pro EU propaganda every day.......... Not forgetting anti Trump news/stories.

Obama says he didn't go down as president...(I assume he means politically and not sexually)...but the thing Obama misses is that his entire 8 years were rejected when Trump was elected.

Trump lost the popular vote by a pretty wide margin. Almost 3 million MORE Americans voted for Hillary Clinton.

Obama won two elections by pretty significant margins - 5 million and 9 million more votes than your Republicans. In fact, despite population growth, significantly more Americans voted for Obama than Trump (69 million in 2008 and 66 million in 2012 for Obama vs 63 million for Trump in 2016).

If Trump loses this election, will you come back here and acknowledge Trump was rejected by America?

Trump lost the popular vote by a pretty wide margin.

Hmmm? seems this was not the first time this has ever happened ...Just the way the powers that be many years ago decided how the president of the United States votes from each state should be calculated.... is what it is ....that one president got the popular vote and won vs one that didn't and won is irrelevant...the winner is the winner and in Mr. T's case Hillary got faced.....then the Dems did everything in their pathetic power to degrade, dehumanize, demoralize and discredit him for his whole term going as far as wasting hundreds of millions of dollars in wasted time and money to impeach him.... all to their miserable self seeking, self absorbed dismay...sore losers indeed.... .... ...

No.

If he loses, he loses... That doesn't mean he was rejected by "all" of America, just the ones that thought Biden ( for whatever reason) was a better choice...He still most likely will get at least 48+% of the vote...Was Hillary rejected by America because she lost the election?

See...that's the problem with you liberals, you want to reinvent the election process and change the rules whenever it suits your goals.

People smarter than you or me came up with the Electoral election process because it balances things out and prevents majorities in specific areas from always having their way.
The problem with your popular vote is that it does NOT represent every man, woman and child in this country...and every election is different.
When Obama ran, black voters came out in record numbers compared to how they vote (or not) in other elections...so based on your popular vote, in the elections they don't come out in record numbers, black voters would be underrepresented.

Likewise, it's pretty common to find big cities predominantly Democrats...and that's where you get the most people going out to vote.

Your notion that the popular vote implies something more, is faulted...it's like asking the crowd at a sports match to vote on which is the better team...the home crowd will always win.

When Obama won the electoral college in 2008 by a much bigger margin than Bush or Trump, did that mean America rejected all 8 years of your boy Bush?

But you again did not listen to the reasoning of why that does not work as a nation. NY and California do not have the needs of 'every' citizen considered.

This is the way to balance how the whole country works in an election without bias to any heavily populated area that may have different values than others

Electing a President in Plain English

Thanks but that's completely irrelevant.

Miroslav asserted that when Trump won the electoral college, it meant America rejected all 8 years of Obama. So my question is, when Obama won the electoral college (by a much greater margin), did that mean America rejected all 8 years of Bush? And if Biden wins the electoral college, doesn't that mean America rejected the 4 years of Trump?

when Trump won the electoral college, it meant America rejected all 8 years of Obama.

I didn't get that from Miro's comments but maybe he said that...I thought he implied Trump pretty much muted or reversed all the things Obama attempted to establish that Mr.T thought were bad ideas...America as a whole did not reject 8 years of Obama..Trump did. Many Americans for their own reasons supported all of what Obama did, Some supported "some" of what he did and some were not happy with anything he did...All of America is not going to agree to go one way or the other when it comes to political decisions...Nor any other group anywhere where there are humans involved with the freedom to chose one side or the other...

If you win by the rules then you have won. No matter what the rules are then you have won or lost by the rules. All the most intelligent people in the country may vote for one person and all the dumbest people vote because they like one persons new hair style. Point is if nobody broke the rules then the winner and loser won by fair means.

One thing about the lefties though I have always wanted to ask...........Perhaps someone may explain?...........Why would anybody support somebody whose politics and polices have been tried out by other countries around the world since 1917 and not only didnt work but failed absolutely dismally in a multitude of countries by a multitude of different leaders. Not only did they fail but they left those countries in ruins. Why would someone support this and vote for it just because they dont like the other fella?

There isnt a single example of lefty/liberal politics which has worked anywhere. How many different types of failure do you want? But still you attack a way of living which isnt perfect but works. The only way the USSR carried on for so long was by killing or imprisoning its opposition. They still it today. Why would anybody vote for this type of crap?

The closest analog to today's liberal policies are Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. Those countries are all doing quite well. They all have socialized healthcare. They all have well-funded public schools and Universities. They all have a robust social safety net. They rank ahead or far ahead of the USA in many - if not all - key measurements.
