Nothing better epitomizes the unique qualities of hollow-body archtop guitars than those produced by Gretsch, a name that is synonymous with music ranging from country and rockabilly through classic rock and metal. No guitar collection is complete without some kind of Gretsch.
And there is no more outstanding example of great Gretsch craftsmanship than the Model G6119 “Tennessee Rose”. From among the maker’s Chet Atkins signature line, the Tennessee Rose is the embodiment of musical sound quality and playability combined with genuinely stunning design. Tones are classic Gretsch, ranging from a warm and rich, distinctly woody neck-pickup sound to the legendary screaming “Gretsch Growl” in bridge-pickup mode. The medium-depth (2.5-inch) body provides the perfect balance between tonal resonance and a light, comfortable hold. Likewise, the neck has a slim profile for an archtop, which with its ebony fingerboard makes playing free and easy.
And visually, the Tennessee Rose is a candy-cane delight! The deep red, clear-finish body and neck are exquisitely set off by mother-of-pearl inlays and trim, and extensive rich cream-colored bindings around the body, neck, and even the real f-holes! Additional features include:
