anyone know how to repair a tuner machine, tuning gear?

Have a broken off tuning gear. just one.

the other 5 are great.

MIM mexi strat. lefty.

so i got a set of Fender tuners CL for $20....right handed.


then I noticed the part the fingers touch is removed easily by a screw.

the shaft that turnss the gear is broken, and I wanted to replace this but wondered how to remove the round silver button with the fender logo on it?


I assume then I can reove the gear and reaplce it with a good one.


a new set is $69 andthe guitars really beaten up...and no one sells solo tuning gears, tuning machines...hopefully I can fix it.
 
I wonder if I explained this task/question well.

The Fender tuning machines have a round cover , usually with the emblem on it, I cant figure out how to remove this and take the gear / piece out to replace it.

Or is this a disposable, item?
