Vintage Ludwigs or New Legacy set/kit

I haven't been on here in a while, 5 years.....lol. but anyway, I was in a car accident and have a little money coming. I have figured out that to be truly happy I will need a Bonham style kit, and a Jazz/bop kit. I can get the Paiste cymbals (rev al big ride etc.) for the Bonham kit and more...

Any Drumming instructional dvd's worth getting?

There was this Jo Jo Mayer dvd I was looking at. I need to bring up my weak hand (left) and something to for timing. And something for generally getting all my limbs to do what I want them to. I was practicing 'Fool in the Rain' today, and it was pretty difficult.

    Are there quiet-er cymbals?

Right now My cymbal set up is Zildjian zbt hats, a worthless sunlight crash, and a paiste 200 20" ride, which is pretty good. (this is what my used kit came with). I have some guys that will jam with me, but they are all saying the drums are too loud for them. They have been midi-ized, and...

Will those hangy ceiling tiles work?

I moved into a house last summer, and I can use the basement. There is a concrete wall going down the center for support, and one side is free, and that one side is about 14'x40'. Ok, the floors are concrete, and the walls a cinderblock, the ceiling is insulated. I think the owners were...

    Anyone heard of Collarlock drums?

There is very little on the internet. I guess DW made them as an import, before Pacific was born. If anyone has info on these, please post.

Has anyone here ever seen a Psychiatrist?

How did it help you? I am having real trouble dealing with my life, where I'm at at this point in time, and my relationship with my wife. It seems like everytime I open my mouth, my wife takes it as a personal attack. She won't talk to me, or open up to me. If she doesn't want to go to...

Do you sometimes jones to play your guitar?

Man, sometimes I get real itchy to have my fingers on the strings, the feeling has become part of me. The pressure of the strings, the senation of the frets as you slide over them, the grasp of your hand on the back of the neck, it is like perfection, going to that special place only you can go.

    just a few guitar electronics questions;

I have taken out the emg's in my guitar, and put in a 62' fender single coil in the neck, it's big and I had to slant it and it sounds amazing. There is a humbucker in the bridge that is not powerful enough, and is a lot on the treblely side so I think it is a neck pickup. (need a fat one)...

    When I jam out.

Everytime I jam on my amp, someone always comments that it sounded like whole band. How could this be.
  17. capnkid

My amp is dead, no sound.

:(. I changed the tubes because it was crackeling, that cured that, but the volume was dropping out on both channels. I tried to fire it up last night and nothing. I guess I am going to have to force myself to read "how to fix your own tube amp", or send it to peavey for $40/hr.
